Wet n Wild Mini Haul + Reviews

Hey Beauties!

I’ve been keeping an eye out for any new products at my local pharmacy/ drugstore. Thankfully we got some new Wet n Wild items that I’ve been interested in. I’ve actually been patiently waiting for the Photo Focus Foundation before doing this post, but it’s been almost 2 weeks and thought I’d just go ahead and post this in the meantime. Hopefully they will get stock in the near future of the foundation and I will do a separate post on that. Most of Wet n Wild products are good especially for the price/ affordability. Please note I’ve linked the products from the Wet n Wild site (USA), as Clicks Pharmacy only has these products in store and not online. I do own quiet a few of their products but here’s some of the items I purchased recently:

MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick

As per the website:

What glides on like butter, feels like a second skin and wont budge? Our Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick! Made with glammed out superpowers, it goes on glossy yet transforms into a high – pigmented matte finish with some serious staying power. Read our lips This color is going nowhere.

• Glides on glossy and transforms into high pigmented matte finish

• Lightweight formula made with serious staying power

• Intense pigmentation without drying the lips

Ultra – Matte Finish

Comfortable Wear

I purchased the shades Nudist Peach which is a peach shade and Rebel Rose which is a pink/ rose shade (duh). I almost purchased Missy and Fierce which is red but I will most likely get that next time.

The packaging is nothing special, it has a standard liquid lipstick container and feels lightweight. The doe foot applicator has a slight dip in it making it easier to cup the lips with one stroke application. I dipped the applicator twice to get the most intensity. It does glide onto the lips very easy and feels very smooth. It definitely is transfer proof and when eating or drinking not that much comes off from my lips.

The staying power is definitely there, I actually couldn’t believe how long this lipstick stays on the lips for which is impressive. It does dry down matte and takes about 2 to 3 minutes to be completely dry.

The only con I have with this is that the shade Nudist Peach does not have the same amount of even pigmentation like Rebel Rose. It applied patchy and I tried layering this almost 4 times to get even pigmentation but it still lacked. Not sure if the formula changes from shade to shade but there was definitely a difference between these two shades. Even in the picture it shows how uneven the formula is. Unfortunately there were no testers in this shade else I would not have purchased this one. However, Rebel Rose reminds me of a high end Liquid Lipstick and love the shade, formula and longevity.

Contains 6g/ 0.21 Oz. Retails for R99 at Clicks Pharmacy (South Africa). Vegan. Cruelty Free.

I purchased mine in the shade Medium Tawny. The first claim I put the test immediately was the flashback. It does not cause any flashback in pictures which I liked. The doe foot applicator is standard and small, which I find doesn’t hold as much product on the applicator so I do have to dip in about 3 times to get my desired amount. It does not oxidize and blends into the skin very well with medium coverage. However it does crease which is my biggest concern with concealers. I wear this concealer on days when I’m running errands, light makeup application, or sometimes to work. I wouldn’t wear this on a night out, or for glam makeup looks. For the price and an alternative affordable option it’s an average concealer in my opinion. I don’t hate it or love it but will continue using it till it’s complete.

Contains 8.5ml/ 0.29 Fl.oz. Vegan. Cruelty free.

Au Natural Palette

As per the website:

Get a little risqué and go au naturel! This palette of ten neutral shades is anything but ordinary. You’ve got every bronze-hued shade that tickles your fancy, from mattes to shimmers to satins to sparkles. Includes a jet-milled base, silicone technology, and pearl density to make them uber-pigmented, smooth like silk, and last for hours.

The shades in this palette is right up my alley! I love the mattes and shimmers. Wet n Wild eye shadows so far has not disappointed me even with their other palettes. I was not surprised that the quality and pigmentation was on point once again. Also these shadows last all day or night on the eyes and does not fade or disappear. With the shimmers and satin shades I don’t really need to spray my brush with Mac Fix+ or any setting spray to intensify the shade, it’s pigmented enough on its own, however if I wanted to the pigmentation would be hella intense and outstanding.

I do find myself reaching for this palette quiet often and I love how compact it is as it can also fit in my bag without taking up too much space, or in my makeup draws. These types of palettes do remind me a little bit of the Urban Decay palettes but for a fraction of the price.

MegaGlo Highlighter

As per the website:

• Shimmer and shine in all the right places with the same formula as our must-have MegaGlo Highlighting Powder. Back by popular demand, our #1 highlighting powder is here to stay! Its ultra-pearly finish and easy-to-blend formula makes it a fan favorite! The silky smooth, highly-pigmented powder gives an all over glow when applied to the cheek bones, brow bone, and cupid’s bow.

I knew this highlighter would be a tad too dark for my complexion in the shade Crown of My Canopy, but I grabbed it anyway. This was literally the last and only highlighter left on the shelf and it’s so affordable I didn’t mind snatching it. I knew that these highlighters were raved about because of how blinding and intense it is, and yep they were right… it’s bomb. Not much to say, but I’m hooked. If I spot another shade in this highlight, I’m snatching all of it 👀

I am so happy to find a dupe for the Mac Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish. This feels, looks and performs the exact same, it’s not even funny. I don’t think I would repurchase the MSF again after finding this baby and for a fraction of the price is such a score. The powder is very fine, smooth and no kick up or fall out in the pan. This was definitely one of my favorite picks from this haul. Please go pick it up ASAP. I use this to set my face after applying foundation and also to touch up throughout the day. I find that it does not cake up or look heavy the more I pack on this powder even during the day. It still looks very natural and skin like no matter how many layers is added. I purchased mine in the shade Golden Tan.
